Irving in the Community
We believe in being a good neighbor, in doing our part for the places and people that have helped us grow. That’s why Irving provides both financial and volunteer support for so many educational, environmental and community initiatives each year.
Our community programs and partnerships support the neighborhoods where we live, work and play through our volunteer work for causes such as Habitat for Humanity, charitable donations to organizations such as Boys & Girls Club and sponsorships of local, minor league teams like the Saint John Sea Dogs and its league, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Volunteering provides Irving employees the opportunity to help out in our communities. Each year in June, our Refinery employees in Saint John organize a community-wide clean-up event known as "Operation Clean-up" to celebrate Canadian Environment Week. This has been a tradition for over a decade, with many employees participating in this important event year after year.
And we are proud of our flagship program, Fuel the Care, which began in 2002. Through this vital program, we've helped to cover the travel costs of more than 35,000 families whose children are in need of constant or urgent medical care.
We invite you to learn more about Irving Oil's corporate giving programs. It's our way of giving back to the friends, families and neighbors who give strength to our community and our company.
